Your safety data stays on your device. We don't sell, share, or store your personal information on our servers.
CrashSOS collects the following information solely to power emergency features:
• Location — GPS coordinates are used in real-time to share your position with emergency contacts and find nearby help. Location is only accessed when you use the app.
• Medical Profile — Blood type, allergies, and medications you voluntarily enter. Stored locally on your device.
• Emergency Contacts — Names and phone numbers you add. Stored locally on your device.
• Accident Records — Photos, notes, and timestamps you capture. Stored locally on your device.
• Vehicle Information — License plate, make, model, and insurance details you enter. Stored locally.
• Location data is used to generate an emergency SMS message sent directly from your device to your chosen contacts — it does not pass through our servers.
• All personal data (medical profile, contacts, accident records) is stored exclusively on your device using secure local storage. We do not transmit, sell, or share this data with any third party.
• Aggregate, anonymous analytics may be collected to improve app stability (e.g. crash reports). This data cannot identify you.
CrashSOS uses Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements. Ads are never shown during an active emergency.
AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the advertising ID) and usage data to serve relevant ads in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings:
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
• Android: Settings → Google → Ads
CrashSOS requests the following location permissions:
• While Using the App (Foreground) — required to display your coordinates and open nearby maps.
• Always (Background) — requested optionally for automatic crash detection. You will be explicitly asked before this is enabled. You can revoke this permission in your device settings at any time.
We never share raw location data with advertisers or third parties.
All your personal data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage with device-level encryption. We do not operate a cloud database for personal information.
Deleting the app permanently removes all locally stored data.
CrashSOS is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us immediately.
Since all your data is stored on your device, you have full control:
• Access — view all your data within the app.
• Delete — delete accident records, contacts, or your medical profile at any time within the app, or uninstall the app.
• Portability — your data remains on your device and is not held by us.
